Steersman of Towing Vessels / Master/Mate 100/200T - Western Rivers Five to seven day course which includes a Coast Guard-approved Rules of the Road course. Students are prepared by traditional means to pass the Coast Guard exams for deck general, navigation practical and navigation general. (Master/Mate 100/200T requires an additional exam for inspected vessel safety.) Tuition: $995
Steersman of Towing Vessels / Master/Mate 100/200T Great Lakes - Inland Ten to fifteen day class which includes a three-day Coast Guard approved Rules of the Road course. Students are prepared by the traditional means to pass the Coast Guard exams for deck general, navigation practical and navigation general. (Master/Mate 100/200T requires an additional exam for inspected vessel safety.)

Steersman of Towing Vessels - Western Rivers Ten-day course includes in-depth instruction in all subject areas required by Coast Guard regulations for the new Steersman of Towing Vessels license. Upon successful completion, the student will receive a certificate of completion which the Coast Guard will honor in lieu of required exams.
Tuition: $1595
Designated Examiner This 8-hour course provides experienced Masters the training and information needed to qualify as a Designated Examiner. Steersmen who are training to become Pilot of Towing Vessels must demonstrate their proficiency in handling towboats and tows and be certified by a Designated Examiner. (Our course includes assistance in completing the application paperwork.)

Inland Rules of the Road Three-day, Coast Guard-approved course provides the student with an in-depth look at the Inland Navigation Rules. Lecture, case study, court findings, and practice testing forms the basis for an understanding of these important rules and how they are to be applied. Successful completion means the student need not take the Coast Guard exam for Inland Rules when seeking a license of less than 500T.

Inland and International Rules of the Road Four-day, Coast Guard-approved course provides the student with an in-depth look at the Inland and International Navigation Rules. Lecture, case study, court findings, and practice testing forms the basis for an understanding of the Rules and how they are to be applied. Successful completion means the student need not take the Coast Guard exam for Inland and International Rules when seeking a license less than 500T.

Engineer Licenses Ten to fifteen day class. Students prepare by the traditional means to pass Coast Guard exams for either Upper Level or Lower Level engineer licenses.
Tuition: $1395
Operator Uninspected Passenger Vessels (Restricted) Successful completion of this 3-day course, along with meeting administrative and service requirements, qualifies the license candidate to operate small passenger vessels carrying up to six passengers for hire on Lake of the Ozarks, Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals Lake. This license is required to hire out as a fishing guide on these lakes, which are federal waterways. Offered at the Lake Career & Technical Center in Camdenton, MO.
