River Radar Observer
Three-day Coast Guard approved course, required initial training for operators of towing vessels equipped with radar on Western Rivers. Class lectures are combined with full function simulation on Furuno radars. Ship motion, multiple contacts in river scenarios, and environmental effects are just some of the capabilities of the radar simulator.

Inland Radar Observer

Class lectures are combined with full function simulation on Furuno radars. River Radar Recertification
One-day Coast Guard approved recertification course required for all OUTV/Masters renewing a Western Rivers license. This course is a condensed version of the three day course.

Inland Radar Recertification
Two-day Coast Guard approved recertification course required for all OUTV/Masters renewing an Inland license. This course is a condensed version of the four day course.

Unlimited Radar Observer
Five-day Coast Guard approved course, required initial training for operators of vessels equipped with radar on Near Coastal, Great Lakes, and Oceans routes. Class lectures are combined with full function simulation on Furuno radars. Ship motion, multiple contacts, north-up displays, and environmental effects are just some of the capabilities of the radar simulator.

Radar Operator
Four-hour radar operation / orientation course for those interested in learning basic radar operation. Includes hands-on use of Furuno radars with full function simulation.
